India is a country in Southern Asia. India has 15,106.7 km of land border and a coastline of 7,516.6 km including island territories. According to World Bank Report of 2011, Indian economy is at tenth position according to nominal GDP(adjusted GDP) and third largest according to PPP.

India is the second most populous country in the world. According to Census 2011 Data, India’s Population is 1,21,01,93,422. From 2001 to 2011 its population has grown by 17.64%. The density of population of India is 382 per sq. km.
According to 2001 census, Hinduism is the largest religion(80.5%) followed by Islam (13.4%), Christianity (2.3%), Sikhism (1.9%), Buddhism (0.8%) Jainism (0.4%), Judaism, Zoroastrianism, and the Bahá’í Faith
